Located only a short flight away from the United States, Costa Rica is a safe, welcoming, and peaceful destination. Smiling people wave at every turn, laughing children play soccer in the streets, and the smell of fired plantains with rice and beans lingers in the air.

Tropical Rainforests and 7 active volcanoes
In addition to shady trees that still shelter herds of cattle, the region boasts semi active volcanoes, several lakes, ocean breezes, and one of the last remnants of tropical dry forest left in Central America. Up in the mountains, you’ll find not only forests and wildlife, but also hot springs and bubbling mud pots.

Potable Water
Water supply is government controlled and subsidized in Costa Rica, making safe drinking water available. You can drink the water straight from the tap.

The functional literacy rate for the total population is approximately 96% due to a mandatory primary and secondary public school system.

Fishing, Surfing bird watching, watching nesting sea turtles, hiking, rafting, boating, scuba diving, sport fishing, golf, horseback riding, snorkeling, surfing, kayaking…

The ecotourism industry in Costa Rica is thriving as people have learned to make a living from the rainforest without destroying it.

Beautiful beaches abound. Some pristine, some deserted. Long straight stretches of sand to tiny coves bordered by rocky headlands. Whatever your preference you’re likely to find something close to perfection.
